Upgrade to Canto Pro
Updated 16 Aug 2026 · iOS, Android, Web
You can upgrade to Pro from any platform: through the App Store on iOS, Google Play on Android, or card billing on the web. One subscription covers your whole account — buy it once, and Pro is active everywhere you sign in.
Monthly or annual?
Pro is $19.99 per month, or $14.99 per month when billed annually — the annual toggle shows "Save 25%" and "Billed annually · cancel anytime". Prices are shown in your local currency at checkout; the pricing page always has the current numbers. Either way, it's "Cancel anytime." — cancelling keeps Pro until the end of the paid period.
On iOS
- Open settings and go to Plan, or tap any Upgrade prompt.
- On the paywall, pick Monthly or Annual, then tap Go Pro.
- Confirm the purchase with the App Store (Face ID / Touch ID). Billing is handled by Apple against your Apple ID.
If your Apple ID uses purchase approval (Ask to Buy), you'll see "Purchase pending — Pro activates automatically once it's approved." — nothing more to do on your end.
On Android
- Open settings and go to Plan, or tap Upgrade.
- Choose Monthly or Annual and tap Go Pro.
- Confirm with Google Play. Billing runs through your Google account.
On the web
- Open Settings → Plan & billing.
- Choose the interval and select Go Pro.
- Complete the card checkout. You're returned to Canto with "You're all set — welcome to Canto Pro."
What changes immediately?

- Any recording that was Locked unlocks — its transcript appears without re-processing.
- Recordings that were Not transcribed because you were over the limit are transcribed automatically; you don't resubmit anything. Details: Why is my recording locked or not transcribed?
- Shared folders become available.
FAQ
I upgraded on my phone — is the web Pro too?
Yes. The plan is attached to your Canto account, not the device. If a platform still shows Free a few minutes after purchase, use Restore purchases — see Restore a purchase on a new device.
Which platform should I buy on?
Functionally identical — pick whichever store you prefer managing subscriptions in. The only practical difference is where you go later to change or cancel: the App Store, Google Play, or web billing. See Change or cancel your subscription.
The paywall says "Couldn't load prices."
The store connection failed — check your network and use the retry button. On mobile, make sure you're signed in to the App Store or Google Play.
